We have a long, History…
The practice was established in 1881 by George Grant who was joined by Arthur Cooke in 1913. It is certainly one of the oldest firms in Gisborne and may well be the oldest continuous surveying practice in New Zealand.
With that comes a tremendous sense of history and resource of knowledge. Many of the old plans, documents and fieldbooks are still held in our office including George Grant’s Field Book no. 1 which records him working on Mahia Peninsula on Christmas Eve 1881.
Grant & Cooke Surveyors Ltd has been serving the Eastland region for well over 100 years. We have been responsible for most of the major land development projects in Gisborne and have been part of the development of Gisborne and the greater region.
We have many long term staff members who combine to form a formidable team of expertise and experience. This is something you as a client can benefit from when you deal with us.
Whether it be a two lot subdivision, or a major land development project, let us be your advisor and advocate on a wide range of land matters.
